Movement training for body & mind
The Art of Movement is a movement & exercise studio offering personal training with a difference. Each session is tailored to you as an individual. My aim is to reduce chronic pain and create a feeling of freedom and ease so you can live life to the fullest. Above all I believe exercise should be about having fun and feeling good and not punishing yourself!
A Private Sanctuary
I only offer 1-1 training (or 2-1 if you come with a friend) so the space is entirely yours for your session. You will use the specialised equipment, as well as floor exercises, and homework where appropriate.
The studio welcomes all ages, sizes, levels of ability, genders and ethnicities. We have wheelchair access (please see note at bottom of page). I am a fully licensed Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis instructor but also draw on a variety of trainings and experience to put together exercises that are right for you.
I offer specialist training and discounted rates for professional dancers, vocational dance students and athletes.

The Studio
In the heart of the Jewellery Quarter the studio is a light, airy and welcoming space in which to spend time on yourself. We aim to develop long term relationships with clients to help them achieve their health and fitness goals, & offer 1-to-1, duet and virtual classes to suit different budgets
Your Instructor
Dorcas Walters is a former ballerina, an experienced teacher and licensed Gyrotonic & Gyrokinesis instructor with a special interest in training for dancers & athletes
